Who is Alice Yu?
Welcome! If you’re reading this, it means you’ve enjoyed my designs (hopefully) and you want to know more about the person who created these designs.
Well, to kick things off, I'm a Melbourne based multi-faceted communication designer who recently graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor’s Degree in Design (Communication Design).
My primary practice consists of a combination of brand strategy design, packaging design as well as editorial/publication design. Through strategic and creative thinking, I use design as a tool to explore and comprehend the ways in which the world demands information and how I can deliver and produce meaningful yet unconventional results with intriguing design solutions.
I’m also a graphic design volunteer/mentor at the Brotherhood of St Laurence, where through the Stepping Stones Program, I collaborate with various clients to provide any sort of design assistant to elevate their businesses. Through this engaging role,
not only do I develop and solve solutions through strategic and creative thinking, but also establish a strong connection with the clients so that I am able to capture a design that best reflects them and their business.

Conscience about the environment
The notion of social change surrounding the topics of sustainability places a huge emphasis on my designs and the brands/studios with whom I’m passionate about collaborating with. We now live in a world where mass-produced products and services are dominating the market place. It is up to us as designers to create a positive change in the way it's being delivered, both visually and sustainably. Through the collaboration of a diverse range of individuals, to diving deep into product, brand and strategy thinking, I strive to create excitement and adventure through my art concepts whilst at the same time achieving a clear and memorable brand identity.

Skills:
Brand Strategy & Identity
Photography & Art Direction
Adobe Software: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, and a little bit of AfterEffects
