Analysis
I was inspired by Peter Corrigan design for building 8. The colours and patterns used on the building are still my favourite amongst the other building designs. It’s quite quirky and vibrant and gives off a 90’s aesthetic, thus creating a nostalgic experience for me.
From my inspiration I wanted to recreate the design and make it just as vibrant and creative but in a more abstract effect. I believe that due to the geometric shapes of the designs, it reflects quite well with the RMIT theme, as a lot of the buildings (both old and new) incorporate a lot of inorganic shapes and uses quite a vibrant colour set. I believe the design is quite eye catching, unique and original and compliments the RMIT Logo. The design also appeals to both the female and male audiences between the ages of 18-30
